About
LICA SFREDDO
I am an Esthetician specializing in Brazilian waxing, since 1998. I was my first client, at the age of 12, and have continued to perfect and create a less painful experience for myself, and my clients. Brazil was the first place where women wore the thong bathing suit, which requires a special type of waxing, called the “Brazilian”, to make it wearable. Some people get a Brazilian to wear a certain type of bikini, while others do it because it feels amazing. My style of Brazilian waxing is to remove all of the hair, from front to back, with the option of leaving any shape of hair on top. I use Hard Wax that is perfect for sensitive skin, and those that are prone to irritation and ingrown hairs. Hard wax adheres to the hair, not the skin, and requires a lower temperature, resulting in a more pleasant experience. Hard wax is removed by hand and doesn’t require a fabric strip for removal. My goal is to make my clients feel more comfortable and enjoy the whole experience. I want to pamper my clients, and create relationships that last. Even in today’s economy, I understand that looking and feeling beautiful is important in our lives.
Why hard wax?
I started waxing myself at 12 using sugar wax because that’s what my mom used at home. But honestly? It hurt. A lot. Especially having to spread it against the hair growth, and it was a nightmare on the lip area.
Then I got my hands on some hard wax from a professional salon, and I never looked back. Less pain, way fewer ingrowns, and so much more precise. Years later, when sugar waxing made a comeback, I gave it a fair shot with a professional... just to be sure. Nope. Still annoying.
So yes, I’m a hard-core hard wax girl. And I truly believe most people who “love” sugar just never had a real experience with a good hard waxer. Don’t even get me started on soft wax...
I look forward to hearing from you! Enjoy!
